Advanced remote salt monitor - The original and still the best
This is the only water softener that checks the remaining salt level itself and
alerts you about 7 days before it actually runs out.
With other softener brands you have to keep remembering to check it yourself by opening the cupboard door,
lifting its lid and looking inside, rather like owning a car without a petrol gauge!
The smart salt monitor is unique to Ensign and was first developed in 1990. It is located remotely, is completely automatic
with no buttons to remember to press and provides quick audio and visual indication
when your water softener actually needs your attention. It leaves those non-electric mechanical water softeners in the dark ages.
Self optimising meter control
Measures how much water is used and uniquely automatically adjusts itself every day to
follow your actual usage, regenerating only when absolutely necessary. Never too early, never too late. The
self optimizing nature of the time tested firmware in this electronic meter control means that it
easily outclasses the conventional single cylinder machines.
Low salt consumption
The CMD-range is so versatile it can use tablet or block salt and is
exceptionally efficient. Each one is individually calibrated for optimum setting

Water saver
All current Ensign models use a special water saving mode as standard meaning
that they use 62% less water than they did 10 years ago. This saves
money on water meter bills and is friendlier to the environment too. Recommended

High capacity
Increased efficiency in resin output mean that our most popular machine, the CMD-11AVSM can cope with 1 person, right up to 10 people in the household.
Automatic memory backup
In the event of a power failure the CMD-AVSM range will store all important information in a
special non-volatile memory chip. Memory retention is up to 10 years.
